TOOTH COLORED FILLINGS

This is a custom-made mouthguard that slightly repositions the jaw in order to alleviate the symptoms of TMD. A patient will only need to wear it to bed, and often, the jaw is eventually able to find this “new” position on its own after just 3 months of therapy. However, some patients need to wear the appliance continually in order to keep seeing results. In addition to realigning the jaw, it can also act as a protective barrier to prevent unconscious teeth grinding, which is a very common side effect of TMD.

ADVANTAGES OF NON-AMALGAM FILLINGS

Aesthetics is a big advantage with composite fillings over silver amalgam fillings. Additionally, as silver amalgam does not stick to teeth, healthy tooth structure is usually removed to keep a silver filling in place. Composites permit your dentist to remove only the decayed area of your tooth. Unlike silver fillings, composite bonding expands just like natural teeth and is much less likely to cause cracks. Composites bond directly to the tooth, providing support.

INLAYS & ONLAYS FOR LARGE CAVITIES

Inlays and onlays are a type of filling that can be used to replace an existing large filling or as a restoration of a broken-down tooth.

We use high-quality ceramic made in our own laboratory using the CEREC® 3D system. This system allows us to create beautiful tooth-colored inlays and onlays that match the color and appearance of the rest of your teeth. It creates the same translucence, color, and brilliance of natural, healthy teeth.

INLAYS & ONLAYS IN ONE VISIT

Inlays and onlays can sometimes take several visits and require temporaries. Using the CEREC system, we can apply these in one visit—often in less than an hour.

SAFE REMOVAL OF AMALGAM FILLINGS

Create a beautiful smile with the removal of your old silver fillings. We use special equipment and procedures for safe removal of amalgam fillings. With our safe methods, toxic vapors that are released and mercury in the silver fillings are completely contained. Composite tooth-colored fillings are also more bio-compatible with your body than amalgam fillings.
